Your data

Privacy by design

Last updated October 29, 2026

Birth control is private. So our tools are built so that your health answers never leave your phone. We cannot see them, sell them or lose them in a data breach, because we never have them.

Where your data lives

When you use the pill tracker, side effect tracker, Missed Pill Helper, Find my method quiz or any calculator, your entries are stored in your own browser on your own device:

  • In IndexedDB, the browser's built-in database, where available.
  • In localStorage if IndexedDB is not available.
  • Only in memory (gone when you close the tab) if your browser blocks both, for example in some private browsing modes.

There is no account and no sign-up. Your pill dates, side effects, quiz answers and missed pill details are not sent to our servers, to analytics, or to partners.

You stay in control

Every tracker has a data panel where you can:

  • Export your data as a file, to keep a backup or move to a new phone.
  • Import a file you exported before.
  • Delete everything the tool stored on this device, in one tap.

Clearing your browser's site data also deletes it. Because the data is only on your device, we cannot recover it for you if it is deleted, so export a backup if it matters to you.

Some tools can make a PDF summary for your doctor or a calendar reminder file. These are created on your phone and saved where you choose. You decide whether to share them.

What we do count

We use Vercel Analytics to count page views. Our tools send a small number of events that carry only the event type and the tool's name, such as "tool opened", "tool completed", "PDF exported", "reminder added" or "data exported". These events never include your answers, values or dates. We also count which partner was clicked when you use a /go/ link, and nothing else about that click.

That tells us which tools are useful. It cannot tell us anything about you or your health.

If you share a phone

  • Anyone who can open your browser can open the tools and see what you saved.
  • Use a private window if you do not want anything stored, or delete your data from the tool's data panel when you are done.
  • Calendar reminders are added to your phone's calendar, where others may see them. Use a neutral title if that is a worry.

The law

We follow the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act 10173). Keeping health data off our servers is the simplest way to protect it. Our full privacy policy explains everything we do collect. Questions: hello@birthcontrolphilippines.com.
