This guide is for information. Talk to a doctor before starting, stopping or switching birth control.
General information only
Birth Control Philippines explains birth control methods, brands, prices and Philippine rules in general terms. It is not medical advice, and it cannot take your personal health history into account. Reading this site does not make us your health provider.
Only a doctor, midwife, nurse or pharmacist who knows your situation can tell you which method is right for you, whether a pill is safe with your health conditions or other medicines, and what to do after a missed pill or unprotected sex.
About our tools
The Missed Pill Helper, calculators and quiz follow published guidance such as the WHO Family Planning Handbook, but they give general results. They never confirm that you are protected from pregnancy. Educational only. Talk to a doctor or pharmacist if unsure.
Emergency contraception
Our emergency contraception pages are information only. We do not publish doses or timings for any emergency method. If you had unprotected sex, talk to a doctor today. See emergency contraception for where to go.
When to get urgent help
Go to the nearest emergency room if you have:
- Chest pain, sudden breathlessness or coughing up blood
- Pain or swelling in one leg
- A sudden, severe headache, or problems seeing or speaking
- Severe pain in your lower belly, heavy bleeding or fainting
- Thoughts of harming yourself
Prices and services
Prices, clinic services and partner details are checked by our editors and dated. They can change without notice. A listing on this site is not an endorsement of any provider's medical care.
Medical review
No medical reviewer is signed yet. Pages are editorially reviewed against WHO, NHS, Cochrane, FDA Philippines and DOH sources. See the medical review policy and editorial policy.
